M6 crash last night

One very lucky lady…

I think that’s a bit inappropriate. There’s plenty of female drivers who are better than a lot of men. I’m sure you just meant it as a joke but I think it’s a bit soon for joking with that.

+1

I seen the unit on the back of a low loader and, not knowing where it was from, thought it was a bloody mess.

More photos mate sent me

Surprised there hasn’t been more pile ups on that stretch of roadworks.
It’s a complete cluster ■■■■ of crap driving on there, I see it every Saturday morning.
Cars lane hogging at 40mph, in convoy, zero lane discipline, and knobs in trucks tailgating these cars and each other. :unamused:
Recipe for disaster.

Trucknet CSI are slow on the uptake with this one

Nina, needs to look in to why the engine was not secured correctly :exclamation:

Looks like it was 4 HGVs involved, one of them was a recovery vehicle.

"A full closure was put in place on the northbound carriageway between junction 17 and 18. The driver of
the Scania HGV, a 25-year-old woman from Macclesfield, was trapped in her vehicle as a result of the collision.

"She was extracted by firefighters and taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be
life threatening.

blindingly good job of wrecking it there.
do we know or has tncsi pointed the finger of blame for anyone being charged with anything,or is it a bulker with the fanny in a scanny being the target for the finger of suspicion?
i cant see anything relevant on tinternet so could the resident armchair vikings possibly elabourate on it?

:bulb: Just so you know.

I’m sure someone will have that V8 away…

Oddly up there its usually the Royal Mail trucks that are tanking it along, although might have been a case of it did then slammed on the anchors. Are trucks designed to eject the engine these days as part of the safety features (doesn’t sound very safe) or is it meant to disconnect the cab in extreme forces?

As for female drivers - all the ones I know are much better at driving and especially reversing than I’ll ever be.

The rubber bushings in the mounts just shear they’re designed for vertical forces.

The wimmin driver that came to our place yesterday couldn’t reverse well. Always a bit disappointed and hope they won’t be pants as I think if they’re good there’s a much better chance of being taken seriously.
Plenty of blokes who only ever use drive in spaces at the services though.

there is one thing that the pictures do show and thats how good the crumple zones in the scanias work, if that had been a daf or iveco i think the outcome may have been diffrent, lets hope the driver makes a full recovery even if it was or wasnt her fault

Cheer up mate it’s Christmas

I’ve read on a Facebook HGV page that the Royal Mail truck was broken down.
