Wasn’t me, I was too busy picking carrots in the cold[emoji16]
just had message from our planner saying it’s closed til 6am tomorrow so take a detour via the 303 from exeter honiton way, then a37 at podimore roundabout through shepton mallet to the a4 back to the m5, and reverse to get back down.
I was coming back from a run out to Holsworthy in north Devon this afternoon and I saw the signs flashing that the M5 was closed a few junctions along. I’m headed to Aldershot anyway so the Bristol route wasn’t an option, but I was surprised that there was no congestion anywhere from the diverted traffic.
Rolled tanker belongs to Darch Oil. This afternoon the Northbound congestion was bad from Taunton to Bridgwater on A38 and onwards in to Bridgwater town. I was northbound on the M5 around 2pm and I was amazed at the number of HGV drivers who ignored the overhead warning signs on the M5 and did not take the exit at Taunton, even though the back of the queue was clearly visible at J25. What I do know is that those vehicles did not move in the next 90 minutes after that.
Someone didn’t check their nuts this morning, tut tut.

if you think this is good advice please check for low bridges !!

A tanker spilling it’s load over a motorway, ie a trucker causing pain and misery. for thousands eg, hospital, Doctor appointments, flights, job interviews, school pickups or even perhaps folks wanting to just get on with their life.
3 days were on still on the 1st page 
Had it been a cyclist running a red light, witnessed by a fatty trucker with his dash cam then we would have been on the 3rd page by now!
