M42 closures starting tonight (June 23). The northbound carriageway will be shut between J6, Bickenhill Interchange, and J8, Coleshill, between 9pm tonight and and 5am on Monday (June 26).
The southbound carriageway will remain open during the day but will be shut overnight between junctions 9 and 6 at the following times:
from 9pm on Friday, June 23 to 6am on Saturday, June 24
from 9pm on Saturday, June 24 to 6am on Sunday, June 25
from 9pm on Sunday, June 25 to 5am on Monday, June 26
Both link roads from the M6 to the M42 will also be closed at the same times. Throughout this weekend’s closure, northbound traffic will follow the signed hollow square diversion, leaving the M42 at junction 6 and using the A45 and A446 to rejoin the motorway at junction 9.
