M42/M6Toll West Midlands | Northbound | Serious incident, roads closed
The M42 is closed northbound between J7A (for the M6 south) and J9 (Coleshill), due to a serious road traffic collison. All emergency services are on scene.
The M6 Toll road is closed northbound within JT1 at the merge with the M42 approaching J9. This is obstructed by a heavy goods vehicle.
In connection with this incident, it has been necessary to close the link road from the M6 southbound at J4A to the M42 northbound at J8 and the M6 northbound exit slip road at J3A to the M42 northbound.
The closures are likely to remain in place for several hours and road users are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the area.
