What are the building behind the “new services” with no name nr Folkstone, any ideas?

looks to me could be a VOSA site!!!

Truck park with 80 odd spaces and a customs clearance facility to be operated by Channel Ports and Harbour shipping I believe.

BTW although it doesn’t have an official name on the signs, in the way that Maidstone services or Clacket Lane does, it actually has several names depending who you talk to… The operators of the site call it Stop 24 and Extra who lease the fuel station to Shell, call it Folkestone while the Highways Agency call it Saltwood and locally it is known as Westenhanger. :stuck_out_tongue:

And I call it Port Early Arrivals since that’s what it says on the sign. I’m renaming Corley ‘Birmingham Early Arrivals’.

I was told recently…that the “Planned” new VOSA station on the road leading down to the Truck Stop at Ashford is now not going to happen…and nweither is the planned Scania dealer next door to it… and it seems is the subject of a legal wrangle locally.
VOSA are still on the Orbital park though…behind a large garage outlet… and they are VERY busy…and in fairness to them…pulling lots of our foreign friends.

I like that. Although I think it should be ‘Birmingham Early Arrivals South’ with Hilton Park doing the job from the North.

To take it a stage further, could Knutsford serve as ‘Manchester Early Arrivals’?

And Corley eastbound could be called ‘Balls I’ve Missed Birmingham’

I’m going to start casually using those names in conversation, we can make this catch on.

Knutsford would have to be ‘Manchester Early Arrivals (Cars)’ with Lymm 'Manchester Early Arrivals (Dirty Stinking HGV’s)

God this could go on and on

When running with someone, ‘yeah mate we’ll have a cupper in Balls I Missed Birmingham services’

Three times last week on an afternoon/night run to Manchester and back I stopped for my break at Knutsford Northbound just because they have those signs up. :stuck_out_tongue:

shouldn’t corley south be called ‘■■■■, nearly at coventry!’ services?

Ferrybridge - ‘Oh Jesus Which Way Do I Go Now Services’

They should all be called ■■■■ Turpins Rob You Blind Services

Watford Gap - No Trigger Latch

Northampton - Rothersthorpe.

Newport Pagnell - Why? (I hate that place)

Toddington - Insurance Sales

London Gateway - HMS Belfast Target (If you don’t know why Google it. :stuck_out_tongue: )

Shoorly Corley South should be named " Thank ■■■■ I missed Birmingham!"?

cherwell valley - willi betz’ uk depot

I always thought Newport Pagnell was “Puke-up Pagnell” :sunglasses:

Corley used to be the Cough and Puke
