According to the local paper work starts on replacing the footbridge which was knocked down last year, at the end of October. Lane closures planned include:
Lane 1 closed from M26 onto the coast bound M20 carriageway and M20 hard shoulder closed in both directions betwenn J2 & J4 with a 24 hr 50mph speed limit will applied until the predicted completion in March.
When:
Work starts on turning the same section between J3 & J5 into a smart motorway with consequent disruption until January 2020.
They will probably find another sink hole on the M2 when this is going on. Deep Joy.
