Monday this week I was driving the 7.5 tonner and had a collection from Mansfield Woodhouse, 8 x full size pallets, total weight 1 tonne heading for Malta. Found the place OK and whilst waiting for Lynx Express to pull off the bay I was talking to the owner, who furnished me with a cup of tea 
He then asked me whether the truck had a tail-lift - No, did he have a forklift - No. Did the bay have a leveller - No.
How to get these pallets on the truck ? I reversed back to the bay and discovered that the truck height and the bay height were exactly the same and it was a simple matter of wheeling the pallets in. Jammy or what? MInd you the DHL office had assured the customer that all their trucks have tail-lifts - for all read none!
