What is the correct lubricant to use for both end of the red and yellow lines and couplings? Really stiff on my unit and some of the trailers too, with the sleeve not retracting on the collar and unable to turn it to line it up with the lug to release it too. WD40 seems like a short-term bodge but not sure what to use that’s a thicker grade without gunging everything up.
Temporary fix, dip the red end into your fuel tank, insert the male part into it and jiggle it a bit.
More permanent, when you dip the engine oil, get a smearing of engine oil on your finger tips and rub it over your balls, while pulling back the outer part.

Does this method eliminate stiffness permanently?
Or is it likely to need recurrent manipulation?

The first part is a problem due to the anti-syphon.

When you are filling up with diesel … get large (old) coffee cup … drop of diesel in the cup to dip your end in
KY Jelly is pretty popular
