hi lads had to go to crayford on friday at 1530 i was at carters tilbury managed to get across d/tunnel and go up the 206 for crayford i was loading an empty 40ft out of veridor waste management,my t/m told me the address century wharf off century creek dartford da1 actually crayford .anyway my sat nav started to smoke for it had no clue what i was talking about so got the old map out not in their ether so went by the p/code to lead me to and industial est asked a guy he said yer just up the road over 2 r/bouts come back on yourself and the slip road is just on your left so did that found the bird â– â– â– â– slip road went down it came to a little right hander then sunk into my seat 13ft 9inch bridge
i thought this can not be happening i could only go until 1730 on a 15 so i stopped thought about what im going to do there is nowhere to jack round at all so started backing up slowly untill i looked forward and thought this other wagon coming down whats to get past now, coming down what the hell is going on i spent ages reversing to get out his words to me YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST AND YOU WONT BE THE LAST THEY HAVE DUG THE BOTTOM OUT.veridor waste is under the bridge and up on your left got there at 1430 out by 1715 parked up at 1728.end result not bad at all.so be warned actuall bridge height 15ft 9inch.
you mean to say, you only just found out about that place
there is another one in Sittingbourne (i think) where you have to go under a “low” bridge, there is a bridge at either end of the road, the higher one has been dug out to get the containers through, although the sign has not been changed.
another one is Par Harbour, St Austell, the sign says 11’6" that has been massively dug out

Now I find out about 2 years ago I unloaded a new telehandler about 1/2 mile away and drove it there as I couldn’t fit under the bridge

you speak for yourself!!!
i’ve not had the (dis)pleasure of that place as yet
Oh you will . There’s not many that have escaped it.
Why don’t the council just change the bloody sign
Havent been for a couple of years, was Grosvenor waste last time I was in there. I was given warning about the bridge before I went for first time so it didnt come as a shock when seeing the sign.
Complete â– â– â– -hole when I used to collect there dont suppose its changed? Do they still take your number then send you off site to park up while they load the long line of motors in front of you??
