Lost my bonus

My company provides a quarterly bonus. All you have to do to get it is keep up to date on paperwork, call dispatch if your going to be unavoidably late and don’t crash the truck.Fairly easy. Not for me

Back in early December I pulled a load from Eddyville Iowa to Terra Haute Indianna. Had a 7am tip,so spent the night about 40 miles away.Left the truck stop at 5am thinking I had plenty of time.Stopped for coffee and rolled in the gate at 6.45am,punched the arrival button on the truck computer and promply got a message from dispatch asking why was I late.Late!

Check my phone for the time.7.45am.My brain finally clicks.Terra Haute is on the western edge of the eastern time zone and somehow I’ve stayed on central time. :imp: :imp: :imp: Kiss my 4th quarter and year end bonus goodbye :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Part of the problem was that I had stopped for the night just inside Indianna but my phone ,which I which is also the alarm clock, had not switched over from central to eastcoast time, and I was too tired to notice.
That was an expensive lesson

BUMMER Rich :imp: I would be pi$$ed at loseing my bonus over 45 god#@& minutes
You should have wrecked the truck and made it worthwhile  oh’ wait, it’s your truck so better not

Put it in the “live and learn” column :unamused:

Ahhhhhhh the lovely " Smelly Haute, IN '. that place stinks to high heavens, what a welcome into Indiana. you leave the stench of the pig farm just behind the west bound scales at MM 152 on I70 in IL, then you hit the stench in Terra Haute . I pass this area six times a week, 3 going east then 3 heading back west. I just make sure the windows are closed, but sometimes that doesn’t help. I have no idea how people can live with that stink.

Didn’t notice the stench, but thats probably because I had just spent a week in Iowa    They only have 2 things in Iowa,Pigs and corn, and it isn’t the corn that smells. :stuck_out_tongue:

Longwayround:
