Lorry Drivers.....

….You/we are not heroes, you/we are not saving lives.
Some of the stuff I have heard on the radio today has made me nearly lose my lower intestinal tract in a spontaneous protein projection via my oral orifice!

You/we are just the same fat, lazy, horrible wastes of space we were last week, doing the same mundane monotonous job that we get paid too much for in all honesty…

Heroes, I should YoYo.

Take a bullet, go into a properly infested area with life on line, you might be a hero, but right now…Get back in the box, it aint happenin

with every passing year,as the level of lefty entitled snowflake vegetarian save the planer tree hugging whale kissing grotty thunderbags adorers rise, then the proportional level of required standard to be classed as a hero drops to the extent it is at now. :frowning:

Only once in my life have I achieved ‘hero status’, that was fixing the dishwasher the wife had been nagging me to do for months.
A mammoth task as a new plug fuse was required. Of course a full stripdown was needed as it was the last thing I checked. None the less in the wife’s eyes I was a hero, saviour of the day etc. In fact she even said 10 years ago I would have got a BJ for it …

Truckers heroes no, real heroes on front line, we more support from behind, well not me as I haven’t delivered any essential items yet but I’m in a heightened state of readiness to tackle the M6 with a container full of pasta.

Well said. You shouldn’t let mundane stuff like this get to you too much though, the weather you’re enjoying in Portugal is eclipsing our British weather and I’m pleased to see that you’ve still got internet up that mountain. Keep up the good work.

Ahh I see it’s one of them attention seeking threads, I’m no expert in this but I would recommend a subject we wouldn’t agree with to open the floodgates…

What is it the millwall fans sing? “Everyone hates us, but we dont care” or something very similar. Maybe it could become a truckers anthem. Not that it matters, we’ll still take them everything they want/need.

I got it wrong, I listened to my significant other and did not leave when they stopped the football! I wanted to go, but she said we would be OK for a while, I listened.
I don`t mind, as it does not matter where you are, but I do feel a bit of a carrot having a bolt hole and not being in it right now, but I guess I am only human.

I have been driving here, as it seems a good way of getting out and witnessing the end of our world as we know it…My business was massively busy for a few weeks, but now it is dead, so I fall back on the good old steady way of viewing the world…I don`t need to, but I want to…I want to see it all, be subjected to it, be a part of it, perhaps die…Not that I care, for a good life I have had and to ask for more seems a bit greedy.

That’s the spirit.

Ouzo is my spirit

Yes, you lorry drivers bask in the spotlight and accept all the pat’s on the back, the flowers and adoring admiration from a loving public for in a while, happen a short while, you will loose favour with the great unwashed. You will fall from grace as fast as a brick from a ten story building and resume your rightful place at the bottom of the food chain.

It’s the same here in the states, people falling all over themselves showing everyone how much they love truckers but it’s just a faze they’re going through. When things start to normalize they will get back to reality and treat truckers as they used to do and that truck will just be an annoyance to them.

Love you lorry drivers

The mobile CT, MRi, PET, breast screeners, blood donors, eye retinal etc trailers I move to hospitals and other locations probably save a life or two every so often  :sunglasses:

Tomorrow im taking a chemo lorry back to it’s London based hospital trust after being serviced and bringing back the spare one for it’s next job.

Give me the banana I deserve!

Top man

Have 2 bananas
