I’ve got a load of doors for a construction site just off Southbury rd, EN1 1YY, for tomorrow morning 05.00am.
Sally the Satnav is screaming 7.5T & 18T all over the place, just off the M25/A10.
Can anyone tell me if its in the ‘Stooopid’ Lorry Ban Zone or is that inside the north Circular. ?
Just to add- I’ve emailed my TM to check it out just to cover my arse & licence & wallet !!! (& anything else that those Cheeky Cockneys want to steal off me !) lol.
I’ve downloaded the lorry ban map, Southbury Rd is on the restricted A110-subject to the night time and early morning restrictions unless you get a permit.
M25 junc 25. A10 south, right A110 southbury road.
Lorry ban starts at A110 but that’s the shortest route inside of it.
Enfield is in the lorry ban, you can get a map off google… Don’t trust what your boss says as there all the same, do your own research…

Just to add its a 15’10" trailer, so coming in from Potters Bar would take me round the Sleeping Beauties in their HGV NIMBY houses. (WAKEY WAKEY at 4.30 in the morning, lol !)

There’s a height restriction on the site & I was told that its being unloaded on the road, that’s why it’s got to be early.
Could this site be exempt from early time restrictions ?

If your office inform TFL the early delivery is for safety reasons, they’ll issue a permit. Search for London Lorry Ban and you’ll find TFL website with info on how to get permits.

I tipped the load at 05.00 this morning, after airing my concerns in the office yesterday, still didn’t receive a permit. So we will see if Enfield has clocked me/or not !
It is a construction site with very limited access, right next to the tube in Enfield town centre, so delivering an artic load/on the road after 07.00 would be near impossible (a bit like carrying water in a net !)

work pays all mine fines but not speeding 
I dont think they email a permit as such, it’s on record.
Yeah you used to get a disc to put in the windscreen but now you’re just on their file. So as a driver you wouldn’t know by looking at the vehicle if its listed or not.
Even if you’ve got a permit its not a free for all, you still have to stick to certain routes.
