The real test is if you can use a hymac ,with the dipper on the floor and the slew is forward and back .
Even when I was a kid in the '80s, Hymacs were really rare around here. Poclains, JCB “Power Slides,” and the odd early Komatsu were the regular machines. I think there were a few Fiatallis ones about too.
I remember the Priestman Mustang had a strange way of operating. Until recently, Liebherr still had an arse about face operating pattern as did O and K.
JCB still produce 3cxs with that cursed X pattern. As my boss bought a new one just before I started with him so I’ve had to get used to it and to be honest I can use it now. I say use it, I’m glad I’ve not dug footings with it.
