Looking for old photo's of Forest of Dean firms

Hi all,this van belonged to a small firm in cinderford in the 80.s they moved to South Wales I started with them I had to pick this up and bring all the stuff down they were called the picture store,then Montana publications it had a fold down bed in it used to do long distance to Athena shops this I took in Gateshead cheers John

Iam looking for a photo of a scania that my dad used to drive for Ashton saw mills in Monmouth I wanted to use it as a guide for an etch for his headstone he was a long standing driver for them until they moved the mill to sudbrook

Richard read is no more ceased trading in March sold everything in Malcolm harrison auction the yard is now industrial units

Hi guy’s, I’m looking for old photo’s of Forest of Dean firms, some long gone from our roads (more’s the pity)… Firstly has anyone got Lucozade from the Coleford depot, mainly Atkinson Borderer’s, but anything will do. R. Ward general haulage from Milkwall Nr. Coleford. Rolly Farr also from Milkwall who mainly ran Daf’s on general haulage and steel coils out of South Wales. Cyril Moore who had a Scania 111 as far as I can remember. T.S. Thomas from Lydney who ran the quarry at Tidenam just outside Chepstow. John James from Lydbrook who had ERF’s and a Scammell Handyman tractor unit. Here’s hoping that someone somewhere can oblige…Cheers…Paul

I remember when FoD caravans in their hey-day had the yard next to the Remploy works, here’s one I took a couple of years ago.

As I hate having my photo taken, here’s one of the trucks my brother drove ( you may know him, everyone seems to ) He was on his way back from Wick in 2005 after delivering a walk-in fridge to a new Sommerfields store. It took him 17 hours to get home to the Forest…

Never had any of that Lights (zb) on any of our motors!!! More lights = smaller brain!!! Bewick.
