Looking for any up to date reviews on Essex training schools

Hi all,

Newbie here wanting to crack on and get my class 2 going. I live near Billericay Essex. I have been doing a fair bit of research on the local and local ish schools but its always nice to get some up to date reviews if poss.

The schools I am looking at are as follows

K & W & Daughters Driver Training Services - Keith Williams

Roadtrain

Essex transport training

Any comments about the schools above or Any other recommendations would be much obliged.

Thanks for your time.

Mark

As far as I remember from previous research, K and W have Semi Autos which give you a full Manual licence.

Roads train have some good kit.

Essex TT, is a new one on me.

Hopefully someone who has had direct connections with one of them may reply.

I would recommend Peter Smythe Transport Training at Mansfield free bed and breakfast included in the course top quality training, they have an excellent reputation , a very high first time pass rate they really do take some beating.

Yes Pete Smythe is excellent if you don’t mind travelling and staying away for the week.

I’m not about to argue with that! But if you dont want to travel, try Flair Training at Chelmsford.

But our B+B is very nice!!!

Pete

Of the 3 you mention I would recommend Keith Williams. Very experienced and highly respected by the examiners and other trainers.

Based near Maldon and only tests at Chelmsford you will not be disappointed

Good luck with the test.

I wasn’t aware of the state of play with Flair following John’s recent post.

Hi Dean state of play still good as ever as you can see from the website but trying to answer the OP based on my knowledge of the area.

Hope all is good with you

Glad to hear it. I assumed as Flair Training was up for sale that you were pulling the plug.

All good here.

Cheers all…how did I miss flair training out. I remember going on the website and getting a quote. I did like the look of flair as well to be honest.

Well I think what would be best would be to pop across to both flair and Keith and have a chin wag about it all.

John is it ok to turn up late morning time or best to call first?

Hi Mark

Best to call us and we can arrange an assessment and talk through the process. Look forward to speaking to you.

Hi Mark,

I got a first time pass about 2 years ago now with Keith Williams & Daughters nr Maldon. I can’t fault them very helpful right from the start. Always made me feel at ease and relaxed. I would highly recommend them.

Essex Transport Training have been around a fair old while or I couldn’t say if they are good or bad.

I’ve met / come across Keith Williams, and although I couldn’t claim to know him he seems like a jolly decent chap. Also I recall another member on here having nothing but good things to say about him.

Be your own judge, go along and talk to people and look at their set up. Make your own opinion and see if it matches that of other people.
