thanks richard, that clears that up.i never put you as a former employer of big bro as i thought you would rather forget…ha ha . hows things with you and the wife, good i hope. kind regards kev.

Hi Kev,
Whilst I was in Hospital, your brother, who scrubs up well ! called round on the chance I’d passed away and I think from the way he’s dressed proposed to Angela and even had the cheek to use one of our old motors to take her to the church ! The bit that upset me was he didn’t use Jimski with his Mercedes,I don’t want him thinking Stuart cut the rate !!
Regards Richard

nice to be reminded from time to time what big brother looks like under all the [zb],last time i saw him like that was at my wedding. 19 years ago…how time drags when you have a rope round your kneck, nice to hear your on the mend, all the best kev.

By gum Kev.old Nig did scrub up well when not up to his armpits in engine oil, con rods and axle grease. Did he by any chance go to a funeral in that suit before putting in the buttonhole for the wedding ? Only asking 'cause of the mud on his shoes ha ha! By the way little brother looks more like big brother every time I see you.
Regards Nobby

Hi GeorgieBoy.I was sorry to hear of your dads demise.I first met him when he was in partnership with Big Bob Newman pulling for STS.At that time I was working for Horace Ransome doing the same.I,m sure that there are many more on here who will be able to tell more about your Grandad.Welcome to the thread.Regards Charlie

Hi Charlie,

I can remember at the age of ten ‘‘playing lorries’’ up at Nursling, with Pat Duffy and Roger and Ryan Whitehorn.

The old 310d Maggies we had in STS livery in Robert Newman days, then the change to Harline and the dark blue with red chassis. will try and look some photos out, not sure how to add them yet, but I’ll try!!!
