Hi All lets get to the top of this !!
R Jimski
You’d have to have been a Continental driver in the late '60’s to mid '70’s to know where this beast was “parked” up.
I recon some of you will remember where it was, so come on, don’t let me down lads !!!

Hi Dave,

Richard.
Still alive and breathing! Hope you’re doing OK !!
Too old for you Richard ?..Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe !!
Pat would have it painted red and blue, stuck a SCANIA badge on it, and it’d be out earning if it was at his place.
As for Mappo…dunno, difficult driving something like that in shorts and sandals, his glasses would have steamed up in there as well !!
I think it got moved mid / late '70’s, so he may not have been driving in Europe then, he always had his map up-side down for years, thought Scotland was south of the I.O.W. Wasn’t till he got it the right way up, that he discovered France !!
Hi All, real funny you lot
you do make me larf.

Hi All
when Mappo had that green motor did it pull a tipping trailer?
Hey you lot, what,s going on then. Must be pick on Mappo week again is it ■■?
I dunno why this age thing keeps creepin in, i happen to know for a fact that i,m a lot younger than most on here. ( especially Fergie and Maggie D )
Dave…i actually started Euro work in 1976 and did my last trip in 1999.
Was that tank on the Cenis ■■? looking for English drivers with Micky permits although i guess it would have been harder to have found those with a good,n.

Dave…i actually started Euro work in 1976 and did my last trip in 1999.
It may have gone by then Tony in '76. The chances are you’d have gone that route at some time, and I recon even if you were half asleep you’d have spotted it !!
Was that tank on the Cenis ■■?
Well, right Country, but a long way out !!

Looks like it went front end in Richard, so no, that theories out. Anyway, it’d have been rusted out by 1949 if it was Italian, much like those Iveco’s you had !!!
The Iveco I had when I was on for R and A was rusted out but Richard told me it was Airtex. No not Airfix! What a goer. And the Lorry was pretty fast as well.Notice I said lorry not truck.Tends to give my age away.Regards Charlie
Whats the white cross on the turret for Mappo ■■? or charlie one, you old timers must know !!!
