gazzer:
Sorry, I must have missed the question about Dave Chivers. Used to deal with him when i was at Volvo, he had a new F12 but it was supplied by Rydales of Chingford me thinks. Driven by a nice chap with many gold teeth. I’m sure he had his own fridge doing work for a Meat Company that was being run by Mark Viner before his move to Chingford Fruit Packers, Mappo will remember. I’m sure Dave lived Bursledon way.

Danny Moss is shunting for Pentalvers by 107 railhead.

Hi Gazza and all, the meat Co. was Bells abattoir in Tadworth near Reigate. Used to load hanging beef out of there. Long gone now.

I see this threads been busy since i was last on here, well done for topping the ton. :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Jimski…i,m in touch with Jim Street and will ring him to make sure he attends the get together.

Saw Gazzap this afternoon down the quay with a big boys trailer on. Proper job.

See you all soon…Who,s round is it■■?

The kit is a 1/24 Heller

Here is the article from the model forum

forum.truckmodelworld.com/defaul … ts&m=28032

This was the first Scania I ever bought from a Roy Tolley from Hereford brought it home on the back of my old AEC Mercury four wheeler, sorry about the pic quality

Then I bought this one off the late Brian Oliver from Rochdale (He was a subbie on for Sea Route Ferry Manchester)

I liked the colour and that was that really

This was the only new one I ever bought!

No I don’t think I will ever restore an old Scania although I have had some good ones, I also must have broken up well over 500 Scanias maybe 600 over the years. It’s my driver Terry Moody who looks after that 143!

Hi All, Hi Pat good looking model of your old scania but its a left ■■■■■■ and should have been modeled on LJA 597P.
guess who i bumped into today ■■? Richard (MaggieD) after 27 years he aint changed much was good to see him.
Hi Mappo are you on this site on the move or have you actully park up !! R Jimski

I called in to see Tim Sheppard today, advising him that there WILL be a gathering on the bank holiday Sunday (whether he likes it or not!). He was surprised because no one had been in to confirm it before, he will however, arrange more staff so he doesn’t have to stand behind the bar and serve but be out punterside chatting.

Well im glad you all like my model ! !

Drop me an email on jaholcroft@yahoo.co.uk

modelhobbies were selling the scania 141 kits off cheap the other week for who was interested

If you liked that then you may like this !

Hi John as Jim suggests as the model is left hand drive perhaps based on this one

Regards Pat
