I it confirmed today that Phil Grant works for Reliance Scrap Metal Recycling of Poole. He drives the Hino 8 wheeler.

Found on FB…I,m assuming they were Pitters wagons.

Tony
That looks like Andersons road,
Jeremy

I first thought West End Jeremy but then that tall chimney in the background
confused me…I know they had a place in Andersons road, but I thought in those days
most of the work was on flats doing the fruit.

Tone got a feeling that was our old yard we went in there after LTS moved out the building behind if I am not mistaken was an old gymnasium which was pulled down while we were there and if that is the case that chimilly looks like it was in the council yard in Endle Street but some one will know, also that yard was not wide enough to park 40 footers backed against the side fences opposite each other, and I notice the picture shows 20 footers Buzzer.

Hi All,

Just to get back on to page 1
Regards
Richard

Nice photo Richard…don’t think you had that when I worked for you.

I,ve been given permission to put on loads of Mammoth /Bulldog photos.
Courtesy of Ian Topham.

Here,s a couple for starters.

Here,s a couple more of Ian’s.

I bet Freddy “The Carrots” Sparks is driving the one on the right, now that he is at retirement age!

Alberti & Santi…big old company.
I understand they had quite a few Brit drivers, but the only other one
I can recall was Rod Shepherd…ex Interoute.

I had it confirmed today phil grant broke the hino today. obviously driver abuse.

Oh No! I’ll have to ring “Nick the scrap” for an update! LOL!
