Got new truck arriving tomorrow see what sort of ■■■■ up the body builders have made this time.But then it is not my problem i don’t have to pay for it they just pay me to shut up and drive it

Well now Jim, according to Tinternet, Le Ferry Boat is still alive and kicking. Open Saturdays 10am - 14.30pm local time. I will give LD Lines in Le Havre a call to see if they can shed any light. Be a good crack though, out Friday night, back Saturday night. Start point the Wheatsheaf. Just two things to establish: 1/Have to get Richard Green from Jameson to do the coach over and back 2/ If anyone orders a coffee-cognac, they will not have to make Aosta that night.

Evening Gary - yes that’s him mate one and the same. No idea what he’s up to now, he used to come in regular back in the 90’s to have his coach serviced at our place but pretty sure he sold up and went on driving for coaches for someone else. Not seen him for years. When I was a nipper, he used to do a bit of holiday relief for us. Be good to see him again though. Best one ever for Richard, I got married twelve years ago and decided to go on the ‘Pride of Bilbao’ booze cruise to Cherbourg Friday night for the stag night. I booked Richard for the transport and he said he would do it on one condition, he could come with us. So, told him to pick us up at 5.30 from the Crows Nest in Bursledon and don’t be late as it was always busy Friday. I was still living at home at the time and on the Friday in question, the phone rang at 5.30am. Mum answered - on the other end was Richard - ‘Where is everyone then??’ He was just a tad early (12 x hours!) and subsequently ended up missing the trip. Good old Rich, that kept us lauging for a long time, we said to him shame he was never that prompt when driving a truck!!!

I think that the problem of Clueys feet might be resolved soon.I have heard from a reliable source that he is going in to hospital to have leg extensions inserted.If thats the case then he will have new feet.Regards Charlie
