Hi Jim
Great pics keep them coming !
I can understand the Chinese having The Dutchmans as there was always a lot of “Take Aways” in that area !!!
I remember Steve Cherett when he drove for me eating there one night and they broke into 2 trucks and moved them to get at his, luckily they were disturbed and failed to steal it
Regards
Richard
Jimmer…hi mate, firstly many thanks for taking the time to take and post the photos
that bring back so many memories for me and many many others.
I can’t believe that fingers actually stamped your permit Jimmer…especially after
mentioning my name.
If you need another one for your your next trip let me know cos I know a man who knows
a man who can get you one…at a price of course…
Had many a pleasant evening / p… up in the Dutchmans and once had an interesting
weekend there on the Vialle Certosa with our mate Paul Nichols…
As I said before Jimmer, what seems strange is the lack of any Lorries in places that used
to be packed with em.
One last thing Jimmer, where,s the photo of the fountain ■■? Is it still there ■■?
Thanks to everyone for their good wishes.Richard. Thanks to you and Angie for your concern. All is moving forward. We won’t know anything for a few weeks. A waiting game. Jimski. Great photos. Brings back a few memories. I remember buying a gun and box of ammo in the Dutchman’s for twenty five quid. After a couple of days I panicked and flogged it for sixty to an 01er. Not bad profit eh. Regards Charlie
MaggieD…Morning Richard, sorry to hear of your recent sad news mate.
Regarding your witty and funny comment about the ’ take aways’ , who was it
that had that load of Estée Lauder was it, nicked from the Dutchmans.
I know it was an STS trailer, and might have been Tim or maybe it was a Subbie.
Charlie…still thinking of you mate, fingers crossed .
Are you sure you sold that gun to an o oner, I,m sure I remember a shooting incident
on the Le Havre …Southampton crossing…

Hi Tony I was in the Dutchmans that night and if memory serves it was Ginger or Tim ! I think they found the motor up north with personal gear burnt out in the Trailer !! Obviously the load was gone but the mountains smelt lush !

Hello everybody, long time no post! Great pics jimsky. It was Tim who had his wagon nicked, I took him back to pick it up the following week. It was quite popular stuff that Estee Lauder I did a load once, when I got to Zingonia the Dogana were on it like flys round a s— heap they nicked loads of stuff. The customer wasn’t happy at all!!! More pics please Jimski!! Cheers Andy

Once your out on the French side you can go motorway all the ways to LeHavre ! Easy life !
Bellagarde, Nantua, Bourg en Bresse, Cerdon and all the other old places !never seen any of it, i reckon if you had a good run through at a steady pace you could prob do Lehavre to Milan in 11/12 hrs ! Which back in the day used to take about 16 hrs !!
