Hi Pat, thank you for pic of tr, it looks like a GUY cab? its got to be 50 yr since I stood on the back of that tr! memories eh!!
About the only pics I have are on page 89…90…91, mainly of boiler job, I wish ide taken more, but the age of laptop’s brings it all back!!

Started in the workshops there in October 1962, just in time for the big freeze of '62/'63. Spent the first part of my apprenticeship out with the recovery wagons, FOR the old Foden, with the throttle pedal in the middle, and Tiny TOT, plus others, pulling and winching various lorries out of ditches all over the country. That’s when I learnt to drive "heavy’s, at fifteen and a half, don’t tell Chris, but I guess everyone knew anyway, times were different then… :wink: We were often “borrowed” out of the workshops to help out as mates on the big stuff, much to the annoyance of the workshop manager Eric Hill, and the foreman Reg Whattling (sp) …I didn’t need asking twice… :laughing:
I know Barry Johnson well, he’s still around…

Hi Pat, great photo’s mate, I see a marker board on the jib, no marker lights!!! nor marker boards on tracks!!.. but 10/10 for effort!!!

I wonder iff that was the dreaded EAGLE TRAILOR?? looks like two 4 in line at back but cant make out the frount,
