No Jim SPD were on the left of where you went into Sea Route Ferry’s yard.

Schweppes’ yard was the other side of Sea Route’s you had to turn left out of the road and go up and around the corner by the tyre dealer and turn left into a small estate opposite P B Asher, I think Associated Biscuits were in the estate as well.

Regards Pat

I was wondering what the name of the Biscuit Factory was and ABMAC came to mind I did a google search and found this Southampton Commercial Directory;

plimsoll.org/images/04%20Com … 183206.pdf

Takes ages to load but some interesting names of companies long gone!!!

A.B.M.A.C Deliveries are listed on first page as is A. M. Garage on the third

Happy reading

Regards Pat

Hi Jimski, don’t know if anyone else has told you, but you can attach pictures when posting simply by clicking ‘upload attachments’ at the bottom of page. It’s a fairly easy process & instructions were on forum somewhere, but if you want to try it & get stuck, give us a PM, or I think, Pat knows how to as well. :neutral_face:

Hi I had a visitor on Sunday morning I know him as ‘Curly Roberts’ about 70ish,he is also a good friend of Billy Cole (Fun Fair Fame)!

I was surprised to hear that he had worked for Baker many years ago and has some pics, I will try to see if I can get them to scan to put on here!

Regars Pat

HI Jim if you have pics stored on your IPad then I would think you could put them on as attachments, at the bottom of the ‘Post A Reply page’ you will see Options next to that Upload Attachment if you press that it will come up with Browse press that and you should access your stored pics press on the pic you want and then press Add the File and that should be that.

If you are about pop in and see me I will guide you through the process if you like.
