Yes Jim but those old Volvos used to get too hot!!
Hi Pat yeah I can’t argue with that but do you remember on that old F12 take out the thermostat break out the guts and stick back the shell and rubber gasket and they run real cool !!

I seem to remember that F89 was once owned by Ian Elkins, I also remember going over Cenis with TV’s when Mark Compton had just bought it, Sean Moran was driving it, there were three of us Mick Olio was driving another of Mark’s Volvos I think I had an old LHD Scania 111 R reg

I have asked on here before and someone did say they had some more photos of this truck but I can’t remember who it was if memory serves me I think they said it ended up a lamp post or something like that, shame was a good old truck… I feel a model coming on Pat

I think you may have beeen thinking about this F89 GHO 1N that John Lee ran as MacPherson Haulage, I think it ended up wrapped around a lamp post or definitely in an accident whilst solo in Portugal I will see if I have anymore pics of it!

Hi Jim found a few more of John Lee’s pics it was not GHO that had an accident I had forgotten that John had 2 Volvos
