Hi Pat plus other 'ampshire drivers.I haven’t seen any photos of errr I think Henry Smithers green ERF “A” series that ran out of International Synthetic Rubber (spelling test for me) at Hythe when I was running in there in the 70s. Maybe I have missed any posted pics of them,if any?…
Hello Chris
Go to page 92 ive put a few photos on of Henry Smithers lorries my dad drove.
Regards Jacko
Thanks for the Henry Smithers photos Jacko, a company I remember seeing a lot of,I wonder now if I’ve confused them with Summerfields that ran out of ISR?

Well, well, Gary Wood, trailer engineer exquisite par none!!! He did for trailers what you did for tractors Pat! Resurected the impossible! Aint that right Gaz?
This Kangaroo was still being used in 2003 by P&O GBE (Ferrymasters). Most were Trans America leased and at the end of their life shipped to Russia.
This was the angle the Italians used to raise them to and with the airbags dumped of air. That combination, plus the speed of the tug, would shake the death out of any unsecured load within. Novatrans, Novara, Italy.

even more is the fact they had a long stroke air bag that would tend to bulge out towards the tyre and rub a hole in a hundred fifty pound piece of rubber ,good old Novatrans

Cheap tickets to the Isle of Man Richard,no chance but all are welcome if they decide to come.We haven’t had a ferry running for two days 'cos of the wind/rough sea so send Charlie on Flymaybe from Southampton to IOM,one flight a day.Don’t put him on t’wrong one,the IOM-S’oton flight carries on to Brussels.
