Anybody else spotted the new locking system Logesta is installing on the back of its fridge trailers? A pair of hefty clamps on both the top and bottom door frames which block the doors and apparently can only be unlocked by a remote signal - the sticker on the back claims that the driver has no access to the unlocking key. Judging by the fact that there’s always one or two parked overnight in secure parking at Niort they obviously take load security pretty seriously. Looks an impressive set up.
On a related note, the Logesta trailer I saw last night on the A9 was pulled by a Jan De Lely FH on a Bucharest plate. Are there any Dutch registered trucks left?

Might have something to do with that most of their work is tobacco or alcohol related, the Jan de Rijk contact comes via the Phillip Morris factory in Bergen op Zoom
Yes there are a few Dutch registered trucks left we have 70 of them and 6 on Polish plates

Yeah Paul, I guessed that was the case, seeing as they make no secret about their exclusive customers on their website.

Jan de Lely run for Jan de Rijk with the Phillip Morris to Morocco as JDR themselves do not want to go there
I think they do gibraltar as well. I think we all know that about 50 times more ■■■■ go into gibraltar than ever get smoked there.

I should have known better than to think you meant De Lely instead of De Rijk . . . ever the eye for detail
