Load securing in a tilt

Does a load in a tilt need load securing straps in germany if it has nowhere to move up against the fold up sides and aluminium planks ?maybe a loading bar to stop it moving rearwards?

Simple answer YES it does.
The side planks will not stop a load from coming out of the side, they are only there as added security.

tilt , taught , whatever . treat it as a flat simples

treat every load like it’s on a flatbed.

What about these load securing certificates for a new tilt ?

simple answer is yes and dont scrimp on the straps better put more in than less and check they good ones as was watching something on u tube and the police pulled a german truck and they were checking the straps were ok and even the angle they were at as they were going over the load just be carefull and good luck

I’m not surprised he got fined he has 7 orange straps on there that’s a no no!
I was told that with a certain loading cert or something ,maybe it comes with the trailer when new,
And the trailer has fold up sides and aluminium planks that load securing can be reduced?
Maybe bull .has anyone heard or no anything of such a trailer certificate
Thanks dee
The tilt i have is brand new.

I think basically just use your common sense, if you get an arsey German basically everything needs to be strapped down, everything. Even if you have a new euro liner with xl BS whatever certification. Over here there not as ■■■■ about it yet but they’re getting there, since they can now fine you for it.

I will continue to use common sense & if I get fined for not strapping stuff that doesn’t need strapping then so be it.
