Hazard a guess port police

I was at the P&O terminal (Dublin) about a month ago for a trailer swap, and at no point during my visit was asked for an access or induction card, just asked the bods at the gatehouse where the terminal was and they let me straight in.

So, as far as I’m aware (depending what part of the port you are needing to access), I think there is no VBS number required to access it, unless it’s all changed since my visit.

Sorry I couldn’t be of any more help.

Go to customer services inside the dock, they take your photie and fingerprint. They issue you the card there and then, I think it’s £20.

You need the card to get a box out of seaforth. Queue up with everyone else. Get to the input screen and buzz for help. You will be directed.

As above, you get your first visit free and on second visit you will have to buy the card

I didnt have to pay… was last year like

Buggers gone up to £25, apparently it used to last a lifetime…2 years now.

I was on nights a few weeks back and forgot my card. The earlier shift let me in no problems, the later shift said I never had a card and had to bits new one.Like you say my original card had no expiry date, just my D.O.B and the new one lasts 2 years.
