afternoon where can i park in Lincoln sunday afternoon, tipping Bardney mon am thanks
You can park down the back of the BMW garage near Mac Attack in North Hykeham but it fills up fast and now has double yellow lines in places. Used that a good few times though, never had a problem. There is a big layby on the A158 heading towards wragby, quite a few in fact but I don’t know if they are safe or not.
Plenty of lay bys on the bypass (A46) with plenty of eateries in walking distance. If you want secure(?) then there’s really only Newark truckstop, depending on which direction you’re coming from, Blyth is only about 40 minutes away.
A bit more info would be helpful, what direction you’re coming from, whether you want to pay etc.

Yeah. Its been a little while since I was there. I stopped doing nights out just after they put double yellows down. You still can use it but the space is limited.
thanks should be quiet on a sunday unless flip flops park there

You’ll find car transporters are more likely to be there. It should be quiet though. I’d suggest you park round the back of the dealership though otherwise you’ll get all the scrots razing about in their toy cars.
I stayed in the car park by the bus station in the city centre this week. There is a stretch off non yellow lines long enough for arctic saves paying 2.60 don’t park in the private bit though.
Tentercroft street car park was always the re development? If not there’s a few small industrial units nearby? Handy for the town centre

You can get there now, they’ve finished most of the work that side. They are demolishing the bus station so that area is blocked off.

I would go for Newark truck stop /livestock market, it is on SNAP, town is a few minutes walk away, everything you need, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, eye candy, nice little place for a watering hole, it is an old boat moored up in the river, there may be some live music on for you .
I am not sure if you pay at the truck stop at the weekend, there is an attendant there week days .
If it is full with EE trucks, it should be no problem to park inside or by the truck wash .

Think he’d get away with not paying on the Sunday pal. The boat is a sound little boozer, and the ale is cheaper for truck drivers than other folk, just ask him if it’s cheaper for truckers when buying it used to be any road

In Newark? Eye Candy? Must be a different Newark to the one I know. If you like your women inbred then there’s plenty to go at!!!
On a serious note though. Newark is a good stop and not too far from Bardney. Only 12 miles West of Lincoln.
As already said, there are plenty of pubs (the pound pub - stella 4 for £1.50 a pint) within walking distance. Good kebab house close by. Morrisons, Waitrose etc. It is on snap, showers are ok. Quiet enough providing you park up the top of the ramp. Can get a little noisy down at the bottom.
