Limiter on Daf FA LF45.150

Hi!
I’m new to the forum so bear with me but I’m currently driving a private goods DAF FA LF45.150 Across Europe. From what I have read about the age and size of the vehicle it doesn’t have to have a limiter but it does does anyone know how to remove/deactivate it? Is it as simple as pulling a fuse? And of so which one?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Tom

Look at the minersty plate. It will say something like “Speed Limiter Exempt” N or Y or something to that effect. Most likely it will require a limiter so if you try to remove it then you are going to land yourself in some serious hot water if you are caught.

Ok I will check the plate thanks. If it is no then any ideas on removal?

The only vehicles that I can think of that would be exempt from having a speed limiter is police/emerancy services. I’ve seen a police Daf LF go flying past me doing well over 60+, maybe even 70 but us average joes are stuck at 56. I’ve never seen a VOSA plate that says the vehicle is speed limiter exempt.

As for removal, I have no idea. Its more than just a fuse thing now as trucks have become more and more tech heavy. I would imagine its electronicly controlled with a tamper proof protected circuit board.

Anyway, if you are traveling through Europe, especially with a illegally destricted truck, I’d take an industrial sized tube of KY-Jelly for all the shafting you will get if you are caught by the fuzz. Doublely so if you get caught by the German rozzers.

My vehicle is pre October 2001 so according to this has no requirement for a limited right?

I’ve checked and it is limited exempt but no idea how to disable it. Anyone any idea?
