Anybody ever been ? It’s a new one on me. Gotta clear Swiss then it tips just over the border. Don’t know why the Swiss handle customs but there ya go. I don’t suppose it will be difficult but any tips etc.
The last time i went there i tipped at the customs depot in Buchs which is in Switzerland about 500yds from the border and luckily the man collected his car from there so RESULT
I think it was DHL i cleared at and most of the clearing seems to be done here as the truck park was full of tracksuits and flipflops , it`s just off exit 16 of the A13
have a good trip…
Ta.

Hi turnip,
I saw this and found out a little about it from wikipedia:
From wikipedia:
Until the end of World War I, Liechtenstein was closely tied first to the Austrian Empire and later to Austria-Hungary; the ruling princes continued to derive much of their wealth from estates in the Habsburg territories, and they spent much of their time at their two palaces in Vienna. The economic devastation caused by this war forced the country to conclude a customs and monetary union with its other neighbour, Switzerland.
And…
Liechtenstein participates in a customs union with Switzerland and employs the Swiss franc as national currency.
I’ve seen Liechtenstein from the Swiss A13, but I’ve never actually set foot there.
It is only 62 square miles in area. They speak German and it borders Austria and Switzerland.
I went there once, I’m sure I was just picking up part of a groupage load home from Swiss, but can’t remember who for. I’d done Andorra, San Marino, The Vatican (on foot whilst weekended) & Monaco so had the other little principalities, but it was the one box I hadn’t ticked and never thought I would, pretty unremarkable as apart from knowing I’ve been there I remember SFA about the place
Used to deliver coils of steel their but this was years ago had to go in via Austria and it was before they were full EU member due to weight i think sorry cant remember any more except it was bloody expensive
