Does anyone from here work at that RDC?
Was looking to find the usual information about pay (on nights), shift length, overtime possibilities etc.
Any information will be welcome.
I have noticed that Shroder Brothers are pulling quite a lot for the aforementioned Lidl RDC.
Can’t help with the wages etc but as well as Shroeder Bros, I normally see a firm called MTC (White Mercs) and the usual Corporate Express dafs (the ones you see at most Lidl’s). There’s another firm with Red/white Volvos (Welsh feathers on the livery but from Devon - can’t think of the name - see them pulling for Morrisons too) as well.
I know this isn’t what your after but if you can’t get direct at least gives you a few firms to try.
Edited to add - as mentioned above its MT (McLeod Transport) not MTC as I first thought.
If its anything like the RDC at J9 M6 drivers are all agency through Drivers Direct,drive past j9 on my way home and for the last 2 months about 9pm been no trucks on goods in either tipping or waiting parked opposite the bays,tonight there was 2 being tipped and 1 waiting.
Not many on the other side being loaded either that I could see.
From what I understand the W-s-M depot is going to close in the not too distance future as Lidl have opened a new depot at Exeter to serve Devon & Cornwall and are building a depot at Avonmouth to serve the other surrounding counties. They don’t have any of their own trucks, but operate solely by sub-contractors such as Schroeder Brothers, Cameron McCleod and other local firms. They do however (I believe) employ warehouse staff direct.

Is the Avonmouth depot a distant future plan or is it likely to be completed soon?
I have just checked with my stepson who does weekend nights for one of their contractors and he tells me that it is actually at Severn Beach and is presently under construction, but is unsure when it will be online. Possibly later this year or early next year. He seems to be working out of Exeter a lot recently as her prefers to do the far south west runs. He tells me that most of the firms seem to have regular vacancies for drivers as they seem to do other RDC work as well (Morrison’s Bridgwater etc) so if you do get in with one I don’t thing future work should be a problem especially if you are in the Bristol area.

Will be completed this year probably no more than a few months away and as mentioned it’s down on the same estate as Farmfoods, Tesco, The Range, etc .

You should be able to walk into a job with Culina as they’re short of drivers and that’ll be easier than the co-op but you’ll have to do it online.

Hiya, did you find out who deals with HGV drivers for lidl? Trying to find out for weston and Bristol for when it opens

MacLoud or McLoud I believe is one of the bigger players.
Take a drive down and have a look there’s no security anyone can get in .
