License Issue

Advice sort on this one please…
Someone I know was taken on by a firm last May with 11 points on his license…
In June of last year he was pulled over by the rozzers in his car and he was found to have Class A drugs in his possession amongst other things …
He was taken to court in June and had his license revoked for 12 months but he only found this out in December last year …
His firm let him go instantly but have since took him back on doing ‘light duties’ i.e going out with other drivers to drive moffets, handballing loads and forklift around the yard etc
He has taken it upon his self to use one of the units to shunt trailers from one yard to another yard which involves crossing a public highway…
The company have ok’d him to do this but a lot of the drivers who work there are a little p****d off about this.
My question is what can be done about him doing it if anything at all as the firm are the type to sack you on the spot if you question them about anything…
Any help would be very helpful

Booked in when??:

How is it that he lost his licence in June but didn’t find out until December ?

Anyway if he’s regularly going on a public road whilst he’s banned he’s an idiot in my opinion, the consequences if caught simply make it not worthwhile, but not as bad as the consequences if he has an accident :open_mouth:

Having said that I don’t see why the other drivers would want to get involved unless the situation makes it a serious safety issue.

On a side note why do you type p****d when you could have typed ■■■■■■

Do you do that on moral grounds or to circumvent a none censored word :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m on another forum and ‘■■■■■■■ is censored

I think the other drivers are fed up because if an ‘incident’ does happen then the police/vosa might be all over the firm like a rash

As for losing it in June and only finding out in December is the story he’s come up with but they all think he’s talking out if his arse and carried on for 6 months whilst banned

Surely this is between the company and the person in question. If they are both happy about it WTF has it got to do with the other drivers? Other than it being standard driver behaviour to complain about everything even when it doesn’t affect them obviously.

Failing that he had his licence revoked in his absence

Playing devils advocate for a minute,

My mate has applied at the firm, clean license etc but only want/can do yard duties, everything went well at interview, but after a week he’s told they’re not recruiting at the moment…

I know it’s the firms decision, but why should some scrote (assumption) keep his job, and doing things the law said he can’t do, whilst someone who has never been in trouble and would really appreciate it, is left at the wayside?

If you want rid, then a call to dibble is the only way</tin hat off>
