This is probably the last of my mini-projects about LHD British lorries of the post-60s period. I didn’t plan to do these threads but they’ve sort of grown organically. I was not going to include the Marathon as there is a lot out there already on other threads. However, i have decided to include it after all, to make up the set. In any case, to use the organic idea again, I do tend to treat these threads as little gardens to be cultivated from time to time!
A lot of these LHD Marathons were TL12-powered with 9-speed or 13-speed Fullers, but some had ■■■■■■■ motors. A substantial number of them did Middle-East work, including those operated by BRS and those loaned to Astran.
I’ll kick off with a unit that’s now in preservation: an unusual 3-axled affair with a ■■■■■■■ NTC 335 engine and a 9-speed Fuller (now a 13-speed Fuller).
