Nice to see this post has come into circulation again.
The broker whole thing is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Nothing but a load of old bull.
Network HGV also have their own Facebook page with lots of advice for any wannabe LGV Driver. You can actually post comments onto their page.
I did and got a lovely call from them informing me they “know some nasty people”
How very professional.
The best honest advice Network (and the others) could give: is tell visitors and callers who they are and what they do, and let people decide then if they wish to enrol with them.
Network HGV are Brokers who own a couple of trucks (which is great for the PR and the website!)
I suppose Network are making a nice pretty sum deceiving people who are in the overwhelming majority of cases trying to improve their lives and career prospects.
How can it be in a time of austerity and high prices people are being hoodwinked at the 1st port of call entering the commercial transport industry?
Don’t worry though Network (et al) what goes around comes around.
MADBAZ:
Edit, found a bit more info via whois, I can’t see any trucks at Coppergate house on Brune Street either. and I found this for Network driver training:
Funny that address used to belong to Highway HGV training but I see they are now a Ltd company and address is
Highway HGV Training Ltd
4th Floor
Victoria House, Victoria Road
Chelmsford CM1 1JR
During my dealings with NetworkHGV, I have been told by Syd at Network that Steve Manning is no longer a director of this company. How true that is I have no idea as I now take everything they say with a huge bag of salt.
Well I have been trying to get hold of Network HGV for a fortnight now, gave them £2200 up front for class 2, 1 and ADR training, now they wont answer the phone.
So I wonder if this guy can defend his company now? I just wish I had found this forum a month ago!!

Highway is fast track so be warned anyone,I have made this mistake and am paying the price…nightmare times, how they get away with it is unbelievable and so blatent as well.Trading standards should be ashamed or to busy…

Pathway closes one day then Highway opens the next from an office around the corner!!
Is this the same company under a different name?
If it is all the people who are owed money have somewhere to go to air their views!
I have spoken to Hackney Trading Standards and voiced ‘my concerns’ about this and as it’s only 3.9 miles away they will investigate!
I have contacted my card company and told them I have not received goods/services, and need to wait on a form.
Only slight problem is I used 3 cards to pay, 2 credit at 1k each and 1 debit card for 200. Looks like ill lose the 200 but the rest should be ok. i got talking to another happy customer on facebook, who has paid 1k by debit card - poor guy!
Update, visa debit cards are subject to chargeback if the bank participates in the scheme, it is not legally binding tho. Luckily for me Barclays are a member of the scheme. So looks like ill get full money back. Shame I cant find this
6th September still no answer and the same voicemail message (closed til tuesday 30th August) on 08444105878
Lengthy and uncertain process of claiming back cash… which means I will be out of work for even longer.
Steve Manning you can contact me on 07709 839 707 and tell me why you think your company is a credit to anything. I am considering small claims court action for loss of potential earnings and stress, which I will hold you accountable for (Being the Director of a limitied company only limits by shares, unless you are of course one of these clowns who only bought one share at £1!)
£i am how having the same problem . i payed £1047 for ambulance c1 driver trainning and have recieved nothing. i have sent several emails and rung 3 different numbers and cant get hold of anyone. my bank are saying there is nothing they can do as the payment was sent over the phone.
i done that but because they give me there account details and then i phoned my bank for a transfer theres nothing they can do because they dont no what the money was given to them for (Natwest)
