Hi Curnock, think J T Paynes from Pensnett had it from new and then had C+C coachworks restore it after it had been stood for a few years in their yard
I might have not-so-fond memories of the Buffalo, but anyone who preserves one, or more, and keeps them running is a Hero of the first order and has my respect and admiration. well done - you are obviously up for a challenge EM. Jim.

aha! yep stop complaining about the old buffalo. I was looking how to post this picture. that’s me in 1975. location south of the city of Esfahan, iran, loaded with 27tons of bagged grain out of the port of banda abbas on the Persian gulf to Tehran. the unit belonged to Ralph ‘boy boy’ Ashton of Ashton Continental, Slough.it actually went pretty well really, clutch overheated on way into Tehran city so had to drop the trailer n bobtail into parking lot

Thanks for ‘owning up’! Here’s the picture again so we can read your caption with it. What a fantastic city Esfahan is - I visited it as a tourist seven years back. I don’t suppose you had the chance to look around while you were waiting for your clutch to cool down. Cheers. Robert
