Here we go guy’s some pictures of when I was at Pinnicle International Freight in the early days
This was the company I worked for while taking my Class 1 and their vehicles, you will remember these Gunner
Tipiden the entire fleet except a 7.5 ton Ford flatbed
Last but not least my own fleet that I operated
NME 7R
VAY707S
CNR276T
WFL174T
B26BGD
GNV225N my toy
C478FUG
BCH240T
A couple of interesting ones
PM Rucks Volvo’s along side mine showing the first F12 they had to match mine
The Seddon Akingson was one I used to drive now and again while I worked at RF Brookes it was on the spud run between Spalding and Rogerstone south Wales, what a truck that was a real flying machine with a Roll’s 290, Tony Ruck was the transport manager for R F Brookes, Mick and Pauls dad hence they bought it cheap when it was replaced
Finally the only one I have left now is this beautiful F16 that I hope this year to be going around some of the truck show as a member of the Steel Boys
Excellent pics phantom. Especially the one of the B-reg M.A.N, as that’s the 1st artic i ever drove (legally) after passing my class 1, about a month before.
glad you like them, it was a very good time for me with a lot of memories and a lot of miles and countries visited

Wow, congrats again phantom, Tipidens, wern’t they up on freemans common next to parkers meat before they moved down to disreali street and went down the blue an white livery route . Loved those PM Ruck pics too. Used to know a few of their drivers. Another top firm gone…

This was my brand new Iveco at Gordan Thomas
Is that Bob James’s ERF behind your Iveco, a good friend of my grandads. I know his lad Steve, he runs the buisness now called SBS.
That must have been when ruck’s had decent trucks! Them erfs looked like they had seen better days towards the end!
Yes it was Bobs truck, Tipiden was at Freemans common and I belive they might still be at Disrali st,that was the early days of P M Ruck just after they moved from the farm down to the yard in Ellistown

Great pictures phantom!!
Your MAN you had B290JRA is great.
My uncle ran a MAN 30-281 8 wheeler B278JRA which I only have a couple of pics of it but not fantastic pics.
Have you seen any others with regs close to these and if so who owned them and are any still out there??
I know by looking at the DVLA web site B278 JRA is no longer on the road and the date liability is 01 09 1996 but it would be nice to know where it went when or if it got a second life.
Cheers
Matt
Hi Matt
not sure what happened to B290JRA when it was sold its sister one that came with it B752GRC went down on the Zeebrugger ferry Herald of Free Enterprize cannot remmeber who supplied them to Pinnacle either, they were serviced by Bardon Hill Quarry’s.
Pinnacle had 2 17 ton MAN rigids with tilt bodies and a Merc 1617 and they all went abroad regular. We had a ERF with a 500 ■■■■■■■■ on trial, I took it to southern Italy, what a beast that was it was the first twin splitter I ever drove, but they never bought one. garage
