right, just realised I left my card in the tachograph… nobody in the yard now, and I’m not in tomorrow…
do I spend the tenner on fuel and leave the house at 6am to get my card before it leaves the yard? or do I call up and see if the boss can fetch it for me?
not sure what to do…

And don’t forget to do a printout with an explanation written on the back if it happened to stay on ‘other work’.
just got a phone call, card was handed in to the office first thing this mornin, guy even did me a printout!!! will have to see what it was left on… I’m pretty sure I put it on break when I was finished, then someone came over to me to tell me about his day, which was the point I lost interest in everything except breathing, so I forgot to eject my card… I’d got the printout done already though… relieved.
I get a bit paranoid about talking to people…
All to easy to forget something when coupling or uncoupling, end of shift paperwork, digicard, wallet, phone, car keys, house keys et al. All can be forgotten by someone having a chat with you. My standard response is, “Just give me ten minutes mate, don’t want to make a fool of myself/kill someone etc”.
Worst when doing trailer swaps and the “swapee” wants to tell you their life story…
