Leccy trucks coming thick & fast

Renault just announced their new electric truck with a 600km range.

I see it even has those kin stupid mirror cams on ffs.

your never get. 600km range.
Be in the small print mile range archived in test conditions on a track.
So be with all excess weight removed prob with an empty trailer brand new correctly inflated tyres etc.
Electric is ok guess for trunking depot to depot .
But where do you get time to charge them as lot of the big firms have the trucks used by day shift then a night shift .
Haven’t seen any charging points at truck stops yet. And doubt you’d get much charge during your 45 mins break anyway

while ago i spoke to an Amazon driver in one of those electric Merc Sprinters- he wasnt impressed by it and said NO WAY would it make it from Colchester to London and back.Seem to remember he doubted itd make it to London one way … Mad when you think of it

At least the electric fire truck can put out their own fire when it bursts into flames

I like the way you think :joy:

Maybe it would have done better than the diesel fire engines trying to put out the Luton airport fire started by a diesel car.

Chinese truck manufacturers had a huge presence at the recent Hannover truck show, Will we see Chinese truck manufacturers Sinotuck/Sitrak e-trucks & hydrogen trucks in Europe soon like this joint venture with MAN. ?

Where? Look like mirrors to me…

Only if it’s also a tipper full of sand.

Logically the battery capacity requirement will increase with the payload. One of the two will have to give way.

Ya sure Lucy ?

It must be showing us different images on mobile vs desktop - I’m seeing this:

I would assume the cameras are optional, mind, though you’ll loose a bit of range if you go for wardrobe doors instead.

Don’t worry about it Lucy, it’s nice to see somebody admitting they might be wrong on here for a change.
They usually try and carry on blagging it and digging a massive hole for themselves.
Where as me, I’m more often wrong than right.:joy:

Well that picture shows standard mirrors :joy:

And ya know what you can do .:joy:

Oopsie well the one shown in the post had standard mirrors :joy:
