Even then it would have had to break enough “XL” curtain buckles (aren’t they supposed to be connected together horizontally, as well, distributing the load?) and, with at least some XL trailers, there’s metal support posts holding up the roof (far stronger than individual straps). I think it would have tipped the trailer before it fell out of our XL trailers, just because of the pipe’s length (unlike individual pallets, seen in the previous thread). That might be worse?
Meanwhile back at the ranch, the residents of Teesside are trying to find a way around that part of the A66 and are finding traffic jams everywhere they go, because that crucial bit of road is going to be closed for several days ( ) and Mr A.N Other driver, from what I can only assume is Preston’s of Potto (judging by the bright red livery), is seeking alternative employment, and their TM is stocking up on KY ready for his trip to Leeds TAO
To paraphrase Bono “Tonight thank god it’s him instead of me”
I’m just amazed no other vehicles were close enough to get pulverized

A P Hollingworth

Cheers for that. Apologies to Preston’s of Potto for the incorrect assumption and slur
Does the sentence ”A crane will be required to lift the section of pipe." add anything to the collective understanding of what’s going on?

Desperate page filling by pretend on-line “journalists”. Most internet “news stories” repeat the same info three or four times, just to pad out the piece.

ND is right - just ask Carryfast - cross at the front and cross at the back, then a double dolly every 1/2 metre pulling either side, it’ ll be fine
