Hi guys.
My old Futistu Siemens Lifebook screen has suddeny started flickering badly. A bit of research suggests the inverter or back light bulb. (how to tell?)
I use this computer as my main pc in my office so its desk based.
As a temporary work around I’ve done the following:
Connected widescreen LED monitor by VGA cable. (D plug)
Connected (via USB splitter) keyboard, mouse & printer.
After some messing around eventually managed to get the screen display to change over to the big monitor. (turned out to be cntr + F10)
However I now realise I have no sound. The sound from the LT has stopped, the big monitor does not have integral speakers. I still have sat on my desk an old pair of speakers on a jack plug.
I’ve plugged them into the headphone socket on the LT (and remembered to switch them on!)
Although a bit of click can be heard as the jack is plugged in, I have no sound.
Any ideas?
