This morning on the M56 lane one was closed to accomodate a wheel change, everyone moved out to the middle lane and everything was going smoothly until a certain green liveried dkhead decided he couldnt wait so he pulled into the first lane and under took the line of trucks and cars waiting their turn then bullied his way in at the last minute, this opened the flood gate for the other dkheads causing a worse hold up than if they had waited in line like everyone else.
the only professionalism shown by some drivers is the fact that they get paid to be d**kheads :
On the other hand he was using all available open lanes until the point of closure, thus reducing the overall tailback…
Had similar this afternoon, most filtering into middle lane as there was a stranded truck in lane one by m40 junction on m25, I was in middle lane and still had about a dozen trucks go under the Red Cross in the gantry with loads of cars then force their way in, causing everyone to brake and hold up traffic even more.

Indeed. Zip merging. Recommended.
Done in most European countries and keeps traffic moving, but for some reason the Brits can’t get their head around the concept and insist on using only 2 of 3 available lanes for the previous ■■ miles.

Clearly Some people(Brits)are too fick to understand this & they’re meant to be professional drivers…[UNAMUSED FACE]
Yes, but do the zip merging when you see the signs, then everyone keeps going. If you go up the closed lane right to the cones, then bully your way in, the flowing traffic in the correct lanes has to stop to allow the bully in, if a few vehicles follow the bully and do the same, traffic then hardly moves at all.
Do the merging whilst there’s room. BEFORE you get to the actual incident.
It is also an offence to continue in a lane with a red X over it, the police in our area are videoing offenders (using the ANPR camera of a police veh) and sending out nice envelopes later with a request to donate to the funds.

then at the point of closure he was causing further holdups by making the middle lane come to a halt to let him in.
up to the time when he decided in his wisdom that he ought to be at the front of the queue the traffic was running smoothly, although slowly.
In my book moving slowly is preferable to standing still waiting for a d**khead who cant wait for a minute.
also he had pulled out of the middle lane and driven down the 1st lane in order to get to the front.
at the end of the day, we are all in a hurry not just ES.but some of us put correct driving procedures before timed deliveries.
