has anyone stopped here, need to park up tues night. cant find any details exept uses snap. is there food on site or near, showers etc?.
Off M6 and head into Carlisle. 2nd lights pub on the left, Coach and Horses, turn right with the BMW/Mini dealer on the right and right again round the back of BMW and its on the right. The yard marshall will watch you in, show where the showers are and the Chinese take-away round the corner. Alternatively, walk back to the pub for food. Was £10 last time I stopped.

That’s the big truckstop, the other is a smaller and cheaper one. First directs will take you to the Kingstown truckpark.

Showers on site. Depending on your definition of food there is Maccy D’s close, and Gregs in the morning. Also Coach and Horses (not tried), and a Flaming Grill / Gosling Bridge further along Kingstown Rd (bit pricey)
If you didn’t want facilities there is a popular lay by on A689 (last exit from J44 roundabout if heading North). Room to turn there too.
Unfortunately, this site will be closing at the end of the month due to not making any money. The guy that rents the site was there Thursday night and was telling me that the Nightowl up the road is to halved to accommodate Stobart vehicles and also the bedrooms will now be Stobart offices.

Loads of “no overnight parking” signs all over there now. One of our drivers got advised by the law after parking up at about 9pm about 6 months ago. The police told him that the parking enforcers sweep the area at about 11pm every night & they didn’t want him to get a ticket…fair play Mr Plod!

Plenty of wagons still park off the main road on the side roads.I walk my dogs every night no there is no overall restriction. I have seen the parking ■■■■■■■ occasionally but to be fair they were asking drivers to move into the actual business area sections where there are no restrictions.
There is a layby section right next to Mc d’s if you’re early. I weekended there recently, and no bother from anyone. Coach and Horses under new management. Never ate there, but the Guinness is passable.
