Up until a couple of weeks ago i’d never even heard of EJ Transport…until a friend of mine showed me a photo of one of their 1626s. It was brown with a TIR plate reg no SKE 781R. So it was quite a coincidence to here from a chap whos dad worked on there. I’ll ask my mate if i can borrow the photo and put it on here.

Postman Paul, very interesting pictures of the Bullens F88’s. You may know this, but a local company to me when I was in Yorkshire…Hewson Brothers of Howden … were also acquired by Bullens, same red and white livery ,as per your Dads truck, was introduced there too.Are they sleeper cabs or day cabs and is the blue and white F88 in Channelflow livery ?
Hi Mate,Not sure about the blue and white f88 in Channelflow livery as I was very young at the time.Dad used to do a change over at night with those Volvo’s and he said they used to take one up and bring another truck back, that may have been with Hewson Brothers? but I can’t confirm any of this as my father has passed away. Thanks for the info cheers Paul.
p.s Sleeper cabs I think.
i would love to see the photo Mark, SKE was driven by Tony Chittenden, my dad Malcolm Carr drove OKP, i have only a couple of photos i dont think they had time to stop and take pictures in those days

Dare I ask about LASH transport ? Passed by their depot on Friday and today, but it is looking very unused with an old shunted parked across the doors of the warehouse on Friday and it Is still unmoved today.Did see a Mercedes, LASH liveried, today out the back, hopefully they are still trading , not sure though ?
