I have to make a delivery to Fife in August and reckon that Kate’s Cabin at Chesterton is about right to eat and sleep after leaving the boat at Newhaven at around 4pm.
Is it still in operation, are there parking charges and if so only for non-diners? Drivers in this country (France) who never go to the UK are amazed that the system of paid parking exists for paying customers (here the larger routiers have a system of free parking for diners only, which is fair enough given the advantage often previously taken by ‘trailer diners’) and I will never pay when already eating at an establishment.
I will repeat this post under the heading ‘Stibbington Diner’ as I have heard there is only a partial refund there for diners, so apologies for the duplication.
