Yes that is a brit bonneted Scania, maroon in colour and with a Glos reg.
If my memory serve me correctly, Rodders took it on a trip, not 100% sure but I think it was Baku.
P.S. Charlie probably still looks the same nowadays as he does in your pics Dave, hunched, with a Benson & Hedges in his hand and always a smile on his face and not a care in the world I only ever saw that expression change once, on the way back up saw an accident and a little boy had gone through windscreen of a van, upset both of us, but the little lad was about same age as Charlies lad. not a good day that day.

Robot? Thats a new one for me jj. Was parked up with bob and kevin diamond in the tank wash parking in poznan in the winter time and bob and kd were heading kazak while i was heading to the ukraine. Im glad robot had the sense to go to bed after a good meal and a few beers but kd and i decided to keep the bar propped up. Still waiting for kevin to buy a beer even after all these years!!! I thought bob was going to strangle us the next morning as he tried to get us into shape for the road ahead. They had a great trip ahead of them going to akmola and im sure they stayed sober the rest of the way with the seat of their pants sticking to them with the conditions
There were some good photos of trips to KZ and back, they were on the wall of the shell garage norh of Le Mans in France, the nick name for the fuel station was called “Elgors” or a name similar to that, after the big shaggy dog that lived there,it was handy for the Caen ferry for a one hit to the port after stopping there for a 45 minute break.
There was Ralph Davies photos,of his wagons that had gone off the road in the ice and snow, the garage owners were very friendly, and offered some tasty snacks and hot drinks for truckers.

I bet there isnt many countries alan bremner has not been to in a truck. The likes of him and m&c jamie could hold an audience all night with their experiences and i for one would be glad to here the tales they have to tell over and over again as much as anyone.

This one used to haul to Kasakhstan and now is in the process of being restored. If anyone has anyone got photos of her they would be greatly appreciated please.
