Not a Wilts reg on the lorry though is it ?

I dont know mate, my dad was a subbie for Sheerness depot in the late 70s early 80s.The lorry looks nearly new in this photo.

nice pic mark, who is your dad ?and have you found that pic of the renault im curious, and its a reading reg but that didnt meen a thing , i think that one was at swindon

Glad you like the photo, My dad drove for Breakers Transport ( Sittingbourne )Ltd. They had a small fleet of lorries on general haulage, Atki Borderers and a few other odds & sods, most of the work was for JWQ Sheerness working out of Sheerness Steel, i think the transport manager was a bloke called Ted Reynolds. Another mate of mine Terry Wilson drove an AEC Mandator with a sleeper cab for JWQ then a Scammell Crusader. Did you ever go to Sheerness depot? it was in Rushenden Road Queenborough,( now a builders merchants ).
I do have a few more photos but cant seem to find them at the mo. One of the photos i have is the same one as the Renault one allready posted, the other is NLB 5 V and a really nice one of a new DAF 3300 A456 WRX pulling a Norbert Dentressangle tilt.
Rgds Mark.

i remember breakers , and sheerness was my second home , i remember ted , and the mandator you mentioned was SRE 57L known as the ice cream wagon, do you remember the time one of them dropped a coil in the high street and they sent the big forklift round to recover it , oh happy days
