Just found this on indeed!

1 infringement in last year? Is that the next thing to create a driver shortage?

Bugger, I’ve got no Driver Qualification Card, the commute might be a bit hard, too.

Are they hiring because one of their guys has recently picked up an overspeed and a wtd infringement in the same calendar year, so has cleared his cab out last Friday?

I just wondered if this was a new thing. I mean none of us are perfect but you have to be a saint to get zero infringements in a year. Manual entries get me just through lack of concentration while doing them. I never go over hours as I only do 2 days but the the odd one always pops up. I’m sure there are perfect drivers out there and maybe that’s what they’re after.

What a load of bovine excrement, No wonder they can’t get enough drivers with this ridiculous crapolla.

Looks like a silly advert, more than a real job.

The ad specifies that the applicant is expected to supply their own hi viz and…
…wait for it…
…their own specs for driving!

I bet they bring this in all over soon. You know how they like making our job harder and harder.

Not a chance, by insisting on no more than 1 infringement in the past year they’re cutting their own throats, the 1 infringement in the past year thing will disqualify a lot of good drivers from applying for the job

I see the candidates must also have a valid van driver qualification card and a valid CPC

I wonder if they really mean infringement or actually mean endorsement.

I thought, probably wrongly, that they meant a genuine (traffic) infringement, such as speeding etc…

On another note stobbarts are also advertising on there, £14:50 pH which they say is £54k salary Mon-Fri tramping. What they’ve included is £25 NOA and it’s obviously max hours and then some.

I reckon that too. If that’s the case shows incompetence within their expertise in transport

Is doable wether you would or not is a different matter.
Quick maths
54k equates to £1038 a week based on 52 week
Minus £100 for 4 nights out as you say that’s included.
So that’s £938 divided by £14.50 an hour equals 64 hours a week.
Which could be done 4 x13 hrs plus one 12 hrs got get an early finish on a Friday :grinning:

Which if your happy tramping out all week isn’t bad really I know others wouldn’t do it but each to there own
