Just checking what I need

I have done the medical and have the provisional entitlement for C, C1 & C1E

I’m going to book my Theory and hazard perception off my own back.

As my licence was issued in 1992 am I right that I don’t need to book a CPC test?
Do I need to carry out 35 hours of CPC training ? Is that available as on line learning or is it classroom?

At what point can I start practical driving, once I pass theory and hazard tests?

TIA

If you send the email trucknetuk.com/phpBB/viewto … 5&t=170538 you can have provisional CE as well.

It’s your choice. Either two tests called 2 & 4 or 35 hrs. I believe the 35 hrs are more useful, cheaper, less stressful, but only you can decide how precious your time is.

Yes that’s the alternate route open to you.

yes, both are available, although you might find it a struggle to find a classroom-based course

Yes, and you can only sit the 3b practical on-road driving test once you have passed the 3a off-road manoeuvres.

You should also have the provisional for CE and if not showing then check other threads in this forum to find the email address to get it

CPC - you need 35 hours which you can do online NOW
Digicard - you can get that now

ADD - looks like Stu and I said the same at about the same time

My words are worthless without you backing me up [emoji2]

Looks like the online 35 hours is over £225

If I do the CPC test do I also need the 35 hours or do I just need to do it within 5 years?

The cheapest is £175

No you don’t need both, except for the 35hrs within the next 5 yrs.

How cheap have you found training and tests for parts 2 & 4?
