Must see TV this Sat on BBC2…the great JBJ
‘Bon Jovi at BBC’ all the old Totp clips.
Then…
‘Reel stories’…Dermot O Leary showing JBJ old tv clips of himself, some of which he aint seen.
Then ‘Bon Jovi in comcert’.
All the hits live (including my favourite ‘Blaze of Glory’.)
Any excuse to play it.
Was dreading Saturday…effin CPC but Saturday night is looking much better.
So a case of Budweiser, a takeaway ruby murray,.and 3 hours of JBJ with my gorgeous Mrs.
Whats not to like.
He was live on the One Show 30 minutes ago.
Cheers mate…I’ll look on the I player.
This is the mark of the man
Just watched it, …unknown to me my Mrs recorded it for me.
Like the rest of us he’s aged a bit, gone from looking like a cool rebel rocker to a retired bank manager.
I’ve heard some of his recent stuff, (and he has a new album out apparentlly) and he still sounds as good as ever.
At his best in my opinion, but then again all his tunes were golden.
Even better live.
As the lead singer of a resident band at the holiday camp I worked at used to say…
‘Keep music live man’
Never saw the band live, but around 99/2000 they played the Brittania Stadium Stoke on Trent.
The firm I was on for at that time had a depot just up the road from there, you could hear it all very clearly…and loud.
6 or so of us were nighting out there, hot summers night and the (second to none) boss/director there, and fellow JBJ fan put on a bbq for us, with a couple of cases of beer.
Good night was had by all that night.

Bon Jovi just means this to me.
Watched it last night
Highlight for me was the BBC r2 live 2009. ‘Dead or alive’ played live.
Watch out for when Richie Sam changes guitar and plays a lead solo.
Cant get it on you tube, but this is a later version,.same track from 2013.
Or catch the 2009 on i player.
Ok this is the last one…honest.
(Just a bit of Rob self indulgence going on here. bear with me.
Check this out.
It sounds just as good after 20 years to me,… but as a fan I’m biased.
Some of the comments are a bit harsh, but tbf there are a few things that most of us aint as good at as we were 20 years ago.
